Rachel Uchitel comes from New York, US. Her granddad was the owner of El Morocco bar in NY back in the sixties and after she finished with her studies in psychology from Uni of New Hampshire, she worked for 5 years making news for Bloomberg TV, before following in the family's footsteps. While not exactly owning a club, she was managing the areas of popular clubs that only saw celebrities and very important people attend. For couple of years, she relocated to Las Vegas where she worked for Tao.
On a personal front, Rachel Uchitel was dating and got engaged to a bank employee James Andrew O'Grady who tragically lost his life in Sept 11th attacks. Suffering from the loss, it took her 3 years to get back on the dating scene and tie the knot with a boy from her past who also worked near the WTC, but few months into the marriage bliss, they parted ways.
